I saw comet Hyakutake on the roof of my house on 1996.3.27. pm 8:00.
It was near the north direction. I saw a round hazzy fog by naked-eye.
With a 20x, 2-inch binoculars, it was seen more clearly. The round hazzy
fog is called "coma" of a comet. This image is reproduced from a photograph.
The photograph is made by a camera with 50mm lens, 1.4 aperture,
ISO 100 negative film, B shutter to expose for 30 seconds.

I saw comet Hale-Bopp on the roof of my house on 1997.4.23. pm 7:15-7:45.
It was near the northwest direction. I saw a round hazzy fog by naked-eye.
With a 20x, 2-inch binoculars, it was seen more clearly. The round hazzy
fog is called "coma" of a comet. With an astronomical refractor telescope,
80mm in diameter, 910mm focal length, and LV20 eyepiece, I saw there is a
white spot within the hazzy fog. It is the solid center of a comet,
called "nucleus".
This image is reproduced from a photograph. The photograph is made by
a camera with 50mm lens, 1.4 aperture, ISO 100 negative film,
B shutter to expose for 4 seconds.
